Long, healthy and shiny hair – a symbol of beauty for many. We show you how to make your hair shine naturally and without chemicals.
Human hair is made up of three layers. The outermost layer, the cuticle, consists of dead, keratinized cells. These are flat and arranged towards the tip of the hair. You can compare this to a pine cone, for example: If the keratinized cells stick out, the hair appears dry and dull. Only when the keratinized cells lie flat does it look translucent and healthy. This position of the cells means that healthy hair optimally reflects the incident light and therefore shines particularly beautifully.
To keep the cells smooth, you need to create an acidic environment, as the scales stand up in an alkaline environment. With the following tips, we will show you how you can use natural means to ensure that the dandruff is smooth and you get shiny hair. The same smoothness you need for online betting.
1. Shiny Hair Without Any Tools
Cold water is gentler on your hair. You can change your hair texture and promote shiny hair with the water temperature alone, without using a lot of products. It is best to avoid using water that is too hot when washing your hair.
Cold or lukewarm water ensures that the cuticle layer of the hair closes, the hair does not dry out and therefore automatically appears shinier.
2. Gentle Drying for Shiny Hair
Gentle drying is important to avoid damaging the hair and to maintain its natural shine. Hair is particularly sensitive when wet. That’s why you shouldn’t rub it dry uncontrollably with a towel. Instead, dry your hair carefully:
- It’s best to press the towel against the roots and then move the towel towards the ends. This works with the hair structure, smoothes the hair cuticle and makes your hair shine. If you rub your hair dry with the towel against the grain of the hair structure, i.e. from the ends towards the roots, you will raise the hair scales and the hair will appear dull.
- You can also leave your hair wrapped in a towel for ten minutes. This is called towel-dried hair.
- When blow-drying your hair, you should also make sure that the air always flows from the roots to the ends. This ensures that the air closes the cuticle and makes your hair shine.
In addition, you should not dry your hair with hot air, but only with cold or lukewarm air. Too high a temperature damages the surface of the hair. You should also not get too close to your hair with the hairdryer. Keep a distance of around 15 centimeters.
In the warmer months, it is best to always let your hair air dry.
3. Various Oils as a Remedy for Dull Hair
Various plant oils nourish your hair richly and help to give it a natural shine. If you want shiny hair, you should treat it with plant oils. If you have very dry, thick or curly hair, you can use sesame oil, olive oil, wheat germ oil or coconut oil for your hair. If you have fine, thin or short hair, argan oil, almond oil or jojoba oil can help. The effect of argan oil has even been scientifically proven.
How to use oils for shiny hair:
- Massage the oil into your hair and leave it in for as long as possible. The longer you do this, the richer the care.
- You can apply oil to dry and wet hair. However, it is best to only apply it to the ends and lengths. It can often leave a greasy impression at the roots – even if you have washed your hair.
- Wash the oil out of your hair after at least 30 minutes with lukewarm water and a mild shampoo.
